Richard is passionate about solutions for his clients and their businesses. He provides strategic advice spanning corporate structuring, governance, and commercial issues for corporate, not-for-profit, and government clients.
Richard works closely with clients to achieve positive outcomes on a range of strategic legal and regulatory matters. He has significant experience in the health, human services and aged care sectors, which was strengthened through his secondments with Blue Care and PresCare – two large aged care providers in Queensland with extensive commercial operations.
Richard also specialises in corporate governance, tax structuring, and regulatory compliance issues for charities and not-for-profit entities, including public benevolent institutions, health promotion charities, ancillary funds, Indigenous entities, as well as arts and environmental organisations.
Prior to practicing law, Richard was a legislative and political advisor in the Parliament of Canada where he worked largely on public policy and legislative matters involving public health, culture, and issues involving Indigenous communities.
