About Sean
As an expert financial services lawyer, Sean focuses on managed investments and financial services, providing detailed and specific advice for public and private companies under the Corporations Act 2001.
Sean has extensive experience in all areas of funds management and financial sector law, including structuring trusts and other fund raising vehicles in the registered, unregistered and unregulated environments. He has established funds management operations, provides ongoing advice to funds managers and financial planning businesses, and regularly advises on mergers and acquisitions of various funds management businesses.
His broad client base includes public companies, discretionary fund managers, wholesale fund managers, income and finance funds, property trusts (listed and unlisted), hedge funds, superannuation funds, strata title and timeshare schemes.
Additional to his financial services focus, he has extensive experience in the agribusiness sector ranging from wine, olives, cotton, timber, poultry, cattle, almonds, flowers, sugar, water, grain producers, to distributors.
Sean is also co-author of ‘A Practical Guide to Managed Investments’ published by the Law Book Company (now in its third edition).
