The Labour Hire Licensing Regulation 2018 (Qld) (Regulations) were released on Friday, 6 April 2018 and support the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2017 (Qld), which was passed late last year.

The new labour hire licensing scheme will commence in Queensland on 16 April 2018 and includes new guidelines to adhere to, along with strong penalties for breach of obligations.

Join the Employment Relations and Safety team for a breakfast seminar to discuss the licensing scheme and the impact of the Regulations. In particular, we will examine what will be required in order to obtain a labour hire licence, including:

• the prescribed information about financial viability
• work health and safety and workers’ compensation obligations
• migration matters, and
• compliance with other relevant laws.
