Directors’ safe harbour for restructuring

Australia’s new safe harbour provisions provide directors with an exception from insolvent trading liability where they are developing courses of action that are reasonably likely to lead to a better outcome for the company than administration or liquidation.

Restructuring Partner Scott Butler and Corporate Partner Reece Walker will provide an update on and explanation of the ‘safe harbour’ legislation. They will be joined by Richard Hughes, a Partner at Deloitte who specialises in business turnaround.
