Event Details
The Labour Hire Licensing Act 2017 (Qld) commenced on 16 April 2018 and requires providers of labour hire to apply to register their businesses prior to 15 June 2018 failing which substantial penalties will apply.
The Act also impacts on businesses who use labour hire, for example from ‘temp’ agencies, imposing penalties on those businesses, if those agencies are unregistered.
While there has been some confusion and misinformation in the aged care sector as to who should register, the application of the legislation has recently become clearer.
Join Partner, Tim Longwill and Scott Lucas from Miles Witt Partnership as they, step by step, take you through all you need to know about the application of the Labour Hire Licensing Act to businesses in the aged care sector including both home care and residential services.
They will also help identify those providers who will not be required to go to the cost of registration and practical steps providers can take to ensure that they are not penalised for using ‘unregistered’ staff.
We hope you can join us.
