Trudi specialises in the financial services regulatory and investment management sector. Her capability stretches across the full business lifecycle of her clients, from setting up new financial services businesses and funds, to ongoing regulatory compliance.
In addition to providing financial services regulatory advice, she also acts for funds managers, mutuals, financial planners, and other Australian financial services licensees on commercial transactions including acquisitions and disposals of scheme assets.
She also has several listed fund clients and advises them on listing rule compliance (ASX and NSX) and continuous disclosure.
Trudi has an enviable mix of international and domestic expertise, having spent five years working in one of the leading investment management practices in the English market.
Adding to her financial services experience, Trudi was also previously in-house counsel at the Bank of Queensland, specialising in back-office treasury products including ISDAs.

The acquisition of Rio Tinto’s $865 million joint venture interest in the Bengalla Coal Mine and separately on the acquisition of Peabody Coal’s infrastructure and related tenements at the Burton Coal Mine.
Advised wholesale and retail fund managers, including equities funds, hedge funds, property trusts, timeshare schemes, income funds, serviced strata schemes and agribusiness schemes.
Transaction and project management
Led the corporate and commercial aspects of a multi-national tax restructure for a major privately owned mining organisation. Involved co-ordinating the business and legal teams located in Switzerland, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, the USA and the Cayman Islands.

Transformational acquisition of the Hellyer Gold Mine and ancillary project funding and cross-border arrangements.
