Nathan is a specialist regulatory, administrative and employment lawyer, having practised in government agencies for over five years before joining McCullough Robertson.
Nathan regularly provides advice to a range of government agencies on complex administrative law issues, including government decision making, privacy, access to information and public interest disclosures.
Nathan acts for both public and private sector clients on a variety of employment law, conduct, and probity matters, with extensive experience in workplace investigations and managing misconduct.

Advising private, not for profit, and public sector clients on issues ranging from recruitment to termination of employment, managing employee performance and discipline issues, and advising on the interpretation of modern awards and enterprise agreements.
Reviews of conduct, probity, delegation, and other key policy frameworks
Reviewing and preparing key conduct and probity strategies and documents, including codes of conduct, delegations manuals, data breach policies, and fraud and corruption control plans.
Freedom of information and privacy law
Provided detailed assessment and analysis of the interaction of two state government agencies’ statutory privacy obligations to ensure information could be shared between them appropriately and legally under the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002.
Government procurement
Advising government agencies on complex procurement activities, including probity requirements and compliance with obligations for proactive disclosure of government information.
