Melissa is a Partner in the firm’s Digital and Intellectual Property team with over 15 years of experience advising on commercial transactions involving intellectual property and technology. Her expertise spans commercial contracts, trade marks, data, privacy, copyright, plant breeders rights, consumer law, food law, advertising, franchising and various regulatory matters.
Melissa advises clients across the food and agribusiness, consumer and life sciences sectors. Her clients range from start-ups, both private and publicly listed companies to large multinationals, including food and agricultural companies, universities and research organisations.
Melissa has extensive experience structuring commercial agreements across the lifecycle including procurement, supply, distribution, manufacturing, research & development, IP licensing, IP commercialisation and other bespoke agreements. Melissa also advises on IP aspects of corporate transactions, including navigating complex IP issues, transacting IP, negotiating brand licenses and transitional services agreements.
