Kathryn has been in practice for 8 years. Primarily practicing in the construction area of law in both front end (contract drafting) and back end (disputes).
She has worked on behalf of federal, state and local government agencies, government owned corporations, principals, contractors, subcontractors and consultants.
At McCullough Robertson, she primarily focuses on contentious matters and applies her expertise to dispute resolution and avoidance on large-scale construction claims.
Kathryn has working in both Brisbane and Sydney, however acts for clients in all States and Territories which means she is across all states construction legislation, particularly Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia.
Provides advice when disputes escalate including dispute resolution under the contract, court proceedings and utilising the security of payments legislation for the relevant State or Territory.
New South Wales Council
Assisted with the drafting of a bespoke tender and contract for a large New South Wales council worth approximately $20m over a 20 year period in relation to the design and construct, maintenance and advertising in four council areas of New South Wales.
Multi Million Dollar Contract
Assisted a contractor settle a dispute in relation to a multi-million dollar contract for a boning facility and waste water treatment plant in rural Queensland and providing advice in relation to defects and expiring security issues.
Transport for New South Wales
Provided strategic dispute advice to Transport for New South Wales in relation to the Northern Beaches B-Line Project in New South Wales.
ANSTO Nuclear Medicine Project
Assisted with an upstream and downstream adjudication application worth approximately $20m and $10m respectively in relation to the ANSTO Nuclear Medicine Project.
Gold Coast Hospital Services
Represented Gold Coast Hospital Health Services in a significant contractual dispute under the Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act 2017 (Qld).
