I am an experienced engineering, infrastructure and renewables advisory and disputes lawyer with over 15 years experience in both Australia and the UK. I primarily focus on resolving disputes prior to litigation or arbitration by various forms of alternative dispute resolution including mediation, negotiation and expert determination.
I have experience in drafting and negotiating construction and project documentation, including design and construct, construct only, project management agreements, consultancy agreements and subcontracts (particularly Australian Standards).
My practice also focuses on providing advice to project teams during a project to avoid disputes and assist with contract administration, claims preparation and efficient claims resolution.
I also have a keen and special interest in construction technology and artificial intelligence and its impact on the construction industry.
I predominately act for private sector clients, acting for a mix of principals, contractors, subcontractors, facility managers, operation and maintenance providers across Australia.
I pride myself of being down to earth and having a keen understanding of client’s needs and expectations. Having experience in advising clients on both the ‘front end’ and ‘back end’ of construction and renewables projects has enabled me to provide clients with valuable commercial and legal insights and strategies.
I enjoy providing interactive workshops and presentations on a variety of construction related topics for the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Urban Developer, SYDBUILD and AUSBUILD and for in-house legal teams and project teams. My current interest and focus is on Artificial Intelligence and its impact on the construction industry as well as the legal profession. I am actively involved in driving innovation in the construction industry and legal profession and committed to expanding education around these areas.
