Jake has been advising clients on commercial, technology, procurement and intellectual property transactions for over 15 years.
He supports clients in both the public and private sector and has acted for clients across a range of industries including technology, resources, telecommunications and financial services.
Jake has extensive experience negotiating and finalising a range of commercial agreements, including advising on key legal issues and contracting frameworks for infrastructure rollout projects; supporting construction and mining companies, utilities and energy suppliers with intellectual property protection, licensing and commercialisation activities, dispute resolution, corporate acquisitions of software companies, technology procurement as well as software development and integration projects. Jake also leads compliance and training programs for clients, including on cybersecurity risks of IoT infrastructure, competition and consumer legislation, contract management and governance, privacy legislation as well as data management and competition and telecommunications law issues.
With a background working in-house for publicly listed, blue chip companies in Australia and the UK as well as in private practice, Jake’s focus is on leveraging his commercial and intellectual property experience to deliver practical advice and workable solutions for clients.
