Bethany is a Senior Associate in the real estate team with extensive experience in the property and finance space across all Australian jurisdictions, focussing in particular on renewable energy, rural properties, corporate and property due diligence, sales and acquisitions and retail and commercial leasing.
Bethany has acted for clients in both the private and public sectors, including large institutional clients, government entities, international property developers and high net-worth individuals.
Advised DP Energy on the preparation of template option to lease, lease, easement, substation and rent documents and the negotiation of specific documents with landowners for a number of solar and wind farm developments (currently 10 projects across NSW and Queensland). The work also included the negotiation of the documents with potential investors for the development.
Advised Ingenia Communities on the acquisition of a number of holiday parks and other sites across QLD, NSW and Victoria, including Inverloch Hoiday Park and Middle Rock Holiday Park and Village.
Advised Palgrove on its acquisition of a number of cattle farms across NSW, including the Mountview property at Ben Lomond, and the Gilgal aggregation.
Rural Funds Management
Advised Rural Funds Management on the acquisition and subsequent leasing of various agricultural properties across New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia, including the $35million acquisition of “Cobungra” in Victoria, $13.4million acquisition of “Dyamberin” in NSW, and $22.6m acquisition of “Petro, Willara and High Hill” in WA.
Eco World International
Advised Eco World International on its acquisition of a 30 unit residential site in Macquarie Park, NSW, with plans to develop it into a mixed use project with an estimated value in excess of AUD $139 million. Work included advising on developer rights and obligations in proposed strata renewal application, conducting of comprehensive vendor due diligence and provision of title and leasing legal due diligence report and negotiation of the terms of put and call option agreement and sale contracts
