McCullough Robertson adds further depth to its Sydney offering with key lateral Construction partner and team hire
Leading independent Australian law firm McCullough Robertson Lawyers has announced the appointment of Mark Riddington as a partner in the Construction and Infrastructure team based in Sydney.
Mark joins McCullough Robertson from HWL Ebsworth where he spent seven years as a partner, and brings a team of three lawyers including Senior Associate Julia Lane.
Mark’s appointment is part of delivering on our strategic priority to grow our Sydney office as we head towards our centenary in 2026, and continuing to service high-quality construction clients nationally.
Mark’s leading front-end Construction practice adds further depth and complements our substantial national Construction and Infrastructure team. His experience includes providing tailored guidance on the delivery of diverse projects such as water treatment plants, shopping centre developments, infrastructure, airport-specific ventures as well as demolition and remediation projects. Mark also assists clients with contract administration issues, commercial wrap-ups and construction disputes. Mark worked at Herbert Geer, and was also seconded to John Holland and Sydney Airport Corporation before joining HWL Ebsworth.
“Mark’s appointment is extremely exciting for our clients and our Sydney office, and builds on the recent additions of Natalie Kurdian, Kate Peterson, Stephen Iu, Nathan Roberts and Chris Barr to the Sydney partnership. Mark is recognised for his skills in navigating his clients most critical and complex issues, advancing their commercial goals and resolving challenges they encounter, and I know our clients will benefit from his approach.” Damien Clarke, Joint Managing Partner, McCullough Robertson
Kristan Conlon, McCullough Robertson Chair of Partners says: “I am delighted to welcome Mark to the partnership, as we continue to expand our Sydney offering. Since 1926 we have prided ourselves on being approachable experts who relate to and support our clients and our people, always. I know Mark and his team will be a great cultural fit and I look forward to collaborating with them all.”
