Lively discussion expected at Beef Week
Proud to continue their long-term association with Australia’s premier beef expo ‘Beef Australia”, McCullough Robertson is returning as a corporate sponsor for the 2018 event held in Rockhampton from 6 – 12 May. Held every third year, Beef Week celebrates the Australian beef industry and facilitates trade and export opportunities with international exposure.
With pastoral foundations originating in Barcaldine in 1926, the firm has continued its strong agribusiness focus with many of their lawyers coming from the land and experienced in working in agribusinesses themselves.
During Beef Week on 9 May, they are hosting a sold out signature event with keynote Troy Setter, Chief Executive Officer of Consolidated Pastoral Company. Sharing his insights to the 160+ attendees, Troy will be joined by ABC Breakfast’s Craig Zonca, Brisbane’s number one rated radio host. Recognised as one of Australia’s top cattleman and agribusiness leaders, Mr Setter is well-renowned for his achievements across the industry.
McCullough Robertson’s Agribusiness leaders Partner Duncan Bedford and Special Counsel Trent Thorne, are looking forward to a lively discussion around technology’s ability to track beef from paddock to plate and expect other topics such as live export, the national cattle market and maintaining record cattle prices to be raised.
Consolidated Pastoral Company is an Australian managed, majority foreign owned Agrifood business with an enterprise value in excess of $850 million. It owns and operates a portfolio of 16 cattle stations with a carry capacity of 400,000 head of cattle across 5.5m hectares of land in Australia.
