Melanie is a specialist environmental lawyer with a Master of Laws (Environmental Law) and more than 12 years’ legal experience in the planning and environment field.
She has a strong focus on enforcement in environmental and planning matters, including prosecuting and defending proceedings in the Planning & Environment, District and Magistrates Courts.
Melanie regularly provides advice in relation to project approvals and processes, contamination & remediation, incident management, vegetation clearing, environmental offsets and environmentally relevant activities.
Through her previous role as Legal Counsel – Environment and Planning at Seqwater, Melanie gained valuable insight into the environmental, planning and water issues facing public sector organsiations.
Acting in various environmental nuisance and unlawful use proceedings in the Magistrates Court and the Planning and Environment Court.
