Succession Planning

Estate and succession planning is no longer just about making a will. At McCullough Robertson we assist our clients to fully and properly review their affairs to ensure the best possible outcome for a person’s intended beneficiaries. Apart from the will, enduring powers of attorney, letters of wishes, family trusts and related agreements will all be used where necessary to meet a client’s objectives. A client’s succession planning is about ensuring that the right assets end up with the right people at the appropriate time and we work with our clients to ensure this objective is carried out as best we can.
We use testamentary discretionary trusts and lineal descendant trusts regularly to assist our clients to achieve their objectives of preserving their estate assets for their intended beneficiaries while also providing beneficiaries with the most tax effective options available to them at law. We assist high net worth individuals, deal with complex family affairs and also specialise in managing the succession planning of business owners and professionals including those in high risk industries.
