Our group of expert planning and environment lawyers continues to grow.  Our lawyers have extensive collective multidisciplinary experience in town and development planning and environmental issues, acting for both government and the private sector.

We pride ourselves on having industry and peer recognised expertise across the constantly evolving yet increasingly related regulatory divide of planning, local government and environment related legislation.  Whilst we recognise that technically accurate legal expertise is essential to address our clients’ needs, it is our understanding of the market place and our experience in delivering timely, effective and commercially sensitive solutions which sets us apart.

Since the introduction of the Integrated Planning Act 1997 Council planning schemes have grown exponentially and when coupled with the continuing expansion of regulatory controls there has never been a time of greater challenges and legal responsibilities facing our private and government clients. Our experience in town and development planning and environmental issues includes property development and infrastructure delivery projects, corporate governance, directors’ liability and industry including manufacturing.

Our lawyers have extensive litigation experience and have acted on a broad range of town planning applications, appeals, declaration proceedings, land acquisition and compensation claims and prosecutions through the Courts.  In addition, we regularly provide advice on issues concerning the environment, local government matters, resumption and compensation, major infrastructure projects and agreements, land use approvals, tourism, residential and industrial development, due diligence and master planning.

In our experience, early involvement in property transactions and due diligence enquiries is beneficial to our clients, as we can seek greater opportunities and manage risks through early intervention.
