McCullough Robertson has welcomed another new Partner to their Sydney office, David Gilham who joins the firm from Henry Davis York.

David specialises in advising financiers and borrowers in relation to a wide range of syndicated and bilateral finance transactions including real estate and development financings, leveraged and acquisition financing transactions, general corporate lending and debt restructurings.

The addition of David complements McCullough Robertson’s corporate and real estate offering and provides direct access for many of their banking clients located in Sydney. Aimee Travis recently joined the firm’s Newcastle office from the Tinkler group, giving the firm a strong banking and finance presence throughout the East coast.

Banking and Finance Partners Peter Kennedy and Peter Stewart are excited to welcome David to the team and bring some big and welcome changes to the Banking and Finance practice group.

“David’s appointment will strengthen the group’s presence on the Eastern seaboard and reinforce the firm’s strategy for expansion into New South Wales. David brings to the team a wealth of experience including working in-house for several large banks in both London and Sydney.

“At a time when other firms are withdrawing and consolidating their banking practice, we are ready to make a strong impact on the market.” Said Mr Kennedy.

To strengthen McCullough Robertson’s identity as the firm who is easy to do business with, the banking group is ready to ‘tear up the timesheets’ and introduce fixed fee billing to their clients.

“The time of billable hours is over. We are committed to giving our clients the best possible service and this initiative is testament to that.” Said Peter.

David is the fifth person of late to depart Henry Davis York for McCullough Robertson, joining Justin Madden, Emma Smythies, Fiona Mudie and Simone Nokes.
