Cairns press conference: Aboriginal - Corporate joint carbon farming initiative

On Monday 12 May 2014 at 11am outside the Pacific International Hotel, 43 The Esplanade, Cairns there will be a press conference announcing an innovative Aboriginal – corporate joint venture carbon farming project to be conducted on Cape York Peninsula.
The press conference will also be the signing and exchanging of agreements between Natural Carbon Pty Ltd, Pormpuraaw Aboriginal Shire Council and Olkola Aboriginal Corporation. This marks an important milestone as it is one of the largest major projects under the Federal Government’s carbon farming initiative and will be covering 13,000 square kilometres of Cape York.
