Our School Work Experience Program
Our firm acknowledges the importance of high school students being able to gain some knowledge of the many types of careers available to them. Each year we provide a number of interested students the opportunity to spend some time gaining work experience at our firm, we anticipate that students will find this an educational experience in a supportive environment. In return, we expect the students to treat the experience as an educational one, to observe and learn in addition to participating in work activities in a professional manner.
Students interested in being considered for our 2012 School Work Experience Program need to submit their application for consideration no later than 30 April 2012. The application should consist of a letter outlining their interest in obtaining work experience, the students personal contact details and the schools work experience facilitators contact details.
We will be offering four students the opportunity to work within our practice groups where they will gain an insight into what it is like to work within a corporate law firm. The students will be expected to assist with basic administrative work in addition to observing the work group.
The program will run for one week in October commencing on Monday 1 October 2012 and finishing on Friday 5 October 2012. The hours will coincide with our standard working hours of 8.30am - 5.00pm.
The positions are unpaid and the school will be responsible for arranging the necessary insurances.
