Green light for Toowong's three tower complex

Acting on behalf of property developer Sunland Group, McCullough Robertson won an appeal against the approval of Sunland’s Grace on Coronation development in the Planning and Environment Court.

Partner Stuart Macnaughton and Senior Associate Rachel Jones argued that the intended character of Toowong as a dynamic, contemporary precinct coupled with the site’s master plan skilfully balanced all the scheme requirements and site constraints to deliver substantial public space and access to the river for the communities benefit.

The $430 million three tower complex will be situated at the site of the former ABC studios in Toowong. The towers, two of 24 storeys and the other 27 storeys, were designed by the late British-Iraqi architect Dame Zaha Hadid. Together they will house 555 units and include parkland and retail.
