Our lengthy history tells the story of our ability to plan, act and succeed.
Now Queensland’s largest law firm, McCullough Robertson was established in 1926 as a pastoral practice serving Queensland’s primary producers.
For most of our first 50 years we were the recognised leader in agribusiness law.
Changing times brought new opportunities. Our first major expansions took place throughout the 1970s and 1980s with the addition of taxation and commercial practices.
In 1998 we introduced a fully fledged corporate and commercial practice to complement our traditional services.
Through hard work, good management and strong client relationships we have grown to what we are today. Recognising the strong growth in Australia’s resources sector, we opened our Newcastle office in January 2009. We continued our expansion in July 2010 with the opening of our Sydney office.
The agribusiness practice founded some 80 years ago is still part of our firm, but we now have 15 other practice areas, including Queensland’s largest corporate advisory practice.
We have the experience, technical expertise and imagination to deliver the best results to our expanding and diverse client base.
At McCullough Robertson, we have a history of assisting emerging companies to grow and of supporting and nurturing emerging industries such as life sciences, biotechnology and information technology.
We have our finger on the pulse when it comes to emerging issues and have some of the leading experts in Australia on issues such as climate change on our team.
