McR announces FY18 appointments
Leading independent law firm McCullough Robertson has welcomed two new partners, three special counsel and two senior associates for the start of the 2018 financial year.
McCullough Robertson Chairman of Partners Dominic McGann said the two new partners, Aaron Dahl and Peter Williams, were both outstanding lawyers with diverse skills and a tremendous focus on their clients. Both of these appointments are within our Corporate and Commercial offering with Aaron and Peter adding their expertise to strengthen our team.
Mr Dahl began his career in McCullough Robertson’s graduate program in 2006. He rotated through litigation and dispute resolution and aged care before settling on corporate advisory. Aaron specialises in capital raisings, mergers and acquisitions, business and share sales and ASX listings to public, private and nonprofit clients.
Mr Williams also launched his career as a graduate with the firm, commencing in 2008. Between 2011 and 2015 he spent time at Thiess and CMS Cameron McKenna in London before returning to the firm as a Senior Associate in the commercial team. Peter specialises in unregulated mergers and acquisitions (including the sale and acquisition of major mining and resource assets), establishment and operation of joint ventures, infrastructure arrangements and long term operating contracts.
“Both have grown their careers with us and their appointments are a ready acknowledgement of their significant contribution to the firm over the years. It is with great pleasure that we welcome them to the partnership,” said Mr McGann.
Lydia Daly (Employment Relations and Safety) and Melinda Peters (Commercial) have been promoted to special counsel and Jeremy Perier (Intellectual Property and Competition) and Ann Watson (Litigation and Dispute Resolution) have been promoted to senior associate.
Mr McGann said the seven appointments, made across seven practice groups, reflected the firm’s commitment to unlocking opportunities for our clients and our people, and aligning our technical and industry expertise to capitalise on emerging markets and opportunities.
The new partners, special counsel and senior associates will be appointed effective 1 July 2017.
